Tick-borne encephalitis vaccination at The Health Clinic — always with a specialist physician, always with documentation.
* The Encepur SmPC states boosters every 5–10 years for ages 12–49; we follow the Swedish national recommendation (Folkhälsomyndigheten): every 10 years under 50, every 5 years from 50.

We follow Swedish national guidance — your age and exposure horizon determine the right schedule. The physician decides together with you at the first visit.
Three doses in the first year. Ideally started in the cold season ahead of the next tick season.
Four doses in the first year per Swedish guidance — an additional dose is needed for full protection.
For when you need protection sooner but can complete dose 3 later. Protection within 2 weeks of dose 2.
Full protection within ~5 weeks (about 2 weeks after the third dose). For imminent travel or vacation in tick areas.
Children from 1 year follow the same schedule as adults under 50 — no extra doses for healthy children. Given with a paediatric vaccine (see below). Children with a weakened immune system follow the four-dose Extended schedule regardless of age. Children under 1 year are not vaccinated.
— Vaccines & ages
Two TBE vaccine brands are used in Sweden, each with a paediatric and an adult formulation: Encepur Barn (1–11 years, 0.25 mL) · Encepur (from 12 years, 0.5 mL) · FSME-IMMUN Junior (1–15 years, 0.25 mL) · FSME-IMMUN Vuxen (from 16 years, 0.5 mL). Please mention a child’s age when booking so the right formulation is prepared. Brands are interchangeable after the primary series.
