EntityThe Health Clinic Stockholm AB
!
Emergency noticeWe do not provide emergency services. For acute or life-threatening conditions, call 112 immediately.

Welcome to The Health Clinic Stockholm. These Terms & Policies govern your use of our website, digital services, and medical care. By booking an appointment, using our platform, or visiting our clinic, you accept these terms.

01Terms of Use

1.1 General use

By using healthclinic.se or our services, you accept these Terms. Unauthorised access, malware, interference, or misuse of the platform is prohibited. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or service at any time.

1.2 No medical advice

Information on our website is general and educational. It does not constitute individual medical advice. For any concern about your health, consult a licensed clinician for a personal assessment.

1.3 Intellectual property

All content — text, images, logos, and materials — is the property of The Health Clinic Stockholm AB or its licensors. Nothing on this website may be reproduced, modified, or redistributed without prior written consent.

1.4 Third-party links

We may link to external websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.

1.5 Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute arising from them shall be resolved by Swedish courts.

1.6 Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, data loss, or costs arising from third-party errors, service interruptions, or the services of external laboratories and imaging providers. Nothing in this clause limits liability for gross negligence, statutory patient injury, or other liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish law.

1.7 Digital consultations (telemedicine)

Video and online consultations are performed by licensed clinicians under Swedish law. You must provide accurate medical information and join from a private, safe environment. If your condition requires a physical examination, we may refer you or reschedule to an in-person visit. Digital care does not replace emergency care — always call 112 in an emergency.

02Payment, Cancellation & Financing

2.1 Payment terms

Payment is due on-site or via secure payment link. Installment options may be available through Klarna or Medical Finance. For eligible patients referred by The Health Clinic Stockholm, Medical Finance may offer interest-free installments of up to 24 months, subject to their independent credit assessment and approval. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is due immediately after each visit.

2.2 Insurance patients

Patients covered by authorised international health insurers (for example under direct-billing agreements) pay SEK 2,500 on-site at each visit. Any remaining balance is billed directly to the insurer only where a valid written direct-billing agreement is in place. If the insurer has not paid within 20 working days, an invoice is sent to the patient and becomes due within 48 hours. The patient remains ultimately responsible for payment unless liability has been transferred in writing by the insurer.

2.3 Embassy and consular patients

SEK 2,500 is always paid on-site. Any remaining balance may be invoiced to an embassy or consulate only where a written agreement is in place. If payment is not received within 20 working days, the individual becomes personally liable for the full amount.

2.4 Cancellations and no-shows

Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. Exceptions are made only for acute illness supported by a valid medical certificate.

2.5 Discounts

Any discount applies only to services performed at our clinic, not to external laboratories, radiology, or third-party providers.

2.6 Late payment

Invoices are due within 10 days. Late payment may incur statutory default interest under the Interest Act (1975:635) §6, reminder and collection fees under the Debt Collection Act (1974:182), and may result in credit reporting in accordance with the Credit Information Act (1973:1173).

2.7 Right of withdrawal and refunds

Healthcare services are subject to the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). If you have booked a service online or by telephone and the service has not yet started, you have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement without giving any reason. Once a healthcare service has been carried out with your explicit consent, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, in accordance with Chapter 2 §11 of that Act.

A standard withdrawal form is available on request from info@healthclinic.se and on our website. Prepaid services are refunded only if we cancel or cannot deliver the service within a reasonable time.

2.8 Financing (Klarna and Medical Finance)

  • Availability. Installment options may be available via Klarna or Medical Finance, subject to each provider’s independent credit assessment and approval.
  • Separate agreement. Financing is a separate agreement between you and the finance provider. The clinic is not a lender and does not charge interest or fees.
  • Fees and non-payment. Any fees or consequences of late or non-payment are governed solely by the finance provider’s terms.
  • Start of service. Once a financed medical service has started, the right of withdrawal under section 2.7 no longer applies.
  • Support. Contact Klarna or Medical Finance directly for invoice or payment schedule questions.

03Complaints, Patient Rights & Oversight

3.1 How to raise a complaint

If you have a concern about the care you have received, please contact us first. We take every complaint seriously and are legally required to respond.

  • Step 1 — Contact the clinic. Email info@healthclinic.se or write to the address below. We will acknowledge your complaint within one working day and reply substantively within four weeks.
  • Step 2 — Contact IVO. If your complaint is not resolved, or if the matter concerns a serious patient safety event (injury, significantly increased need for care, or death), you may submit a formal complaint to the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (Inspektionen för vård och omsorg, IVO) at ivo.se. IVO generally investigates events that occurred within the last two years.

Note on Patientnämnden. Patientnämnden in Region Stockholm handles publicly funded care and private providers with a regional agreement. Because The Health Clinic Stockholm is a fully private provider without such an agreement, Patientnämnden is not available as a complaint channel for our patients. Your route is clinic → IVO.

3.2 Patient injury insurance

We hold statutory patient injury insurance under the Patient Injury Act (1996:799).

  • Insurer: Folksam
  • Policy number: 470891 (Praktikförsäkring)
  • Claims line: 0771-950 950

If you believe you have suffered a patient injury in connection with care at our clinic, please notify us so we can assist you with the claim process. You may also contact Folksam directly.

3.3 Patient rights

As a patient, you have the right to access your medical records, to have factual errors annotated or corrected under the statutory procedure, to receive information to make informed decisions about your care, to give or withhold consent to treatment, and to request a second medical opinion.

3.4 Patient safety (Lex Maria)

We operate a documented quality and patient-safety management system in accordance with SOSFS 2011:9 and the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Events that have caused, or could have caused, serious patient injury are investigated internally and reported to IVO under Lex Maria. We publish an annual Patient Safety Report (Patientsäkerhetsberättelse) by 1 March each year, which is available on our website.

3.5 Consumer disputes and ARN

The Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) does not examine disputes concerning healthcare services. For non-medical services that are not classified as healthcare, you may contact ARN at arn.se. EU residents may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

04Cookie Policy

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies in accordance with the Swedish Electronic Communications Act (2022:482), 9 ch. 28 §, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

4.1 Categories of cookies

  • Strictly necessary cookies are always active. They are required for the website to function (security, session management, accessibility). These do not require your consent.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. These are loaded only after you give your consent.
  • Marketing cookies allow us to tailor advertising on our website and on third-party platforms. These are loaded only after you give your consent.

4.2 Your consent

Consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies with equal ease through our cookie banner. No boxes are pre-ticked. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. Disabling non-essential cookies does not affect core functionality.

4.3 Supervisory authorities

Cookie use on Swedish websites is supervised by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS). The processing of personal data via cookies is supervised by the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY). You have the right to file a complaint with IMY at imy.se.

05Quality, Patient Safety & Insurance

5.1 Registration and oversight

The Health Clinic Stockholm AB is registered in IVO’s register of healthcare providers (vårdgivarregistret) under organisation number 559385-2618. We operate under Swedish law, including the Health and Medical Services Act (2017:30), the Patient Safety Act (2010:659), the Patient Act (2014:821), and the Patient Data Act (2008:355).

5.2 Responsible physician (Verksamhetschef)

Verksamhetschef and Medically Responsible Physician: Dr. Aydin Tajeri, MD, Specialist in Internal Medicine.

5.3 Patient Safety Report

In accordance with Chapter 3 §10 of the Patient Safety Act, we publish an annual Patient Safety Report by 1 March each year. It describes our systematic patient safety work during the previous calendar year, measures taken to increase patient safety, and results achieved. The report is publicly available on our website.

06Marketing & Medical Information

Any health information on our website is educational and does not replace individual medical assessment. In accordance with the Swedish Medicinal Products Act (2015:315), we do not advertise prescription medicines to the general public. References to medicinal treatments (for example within our Signature WeightCare programme) are informational only and any prescription decision is made by a licensed physician based on individual clinical assessment. Prices for our services are shown at booking and on our price list. Where applicable, VAT is indicated separately in accordance with the Price Information Act (2004:347).
