Hormone markers

Structured care, not a single visit.

Hormonprogrammet is designed for women who need continuous, specialist-led care — not a prescription once a year.

Perimenopause & menopausal symptoms

Vasomotor symptoms, sleep disturbances, brain fog, weight changes. Structured assessment and treatment in line with Socialstyrelsen’s national guidelines (2026).

Premature Ovarian Insufficiency

Diagnosis and long-term management of early menopause (before 40). SFOG requires specialist follow-up — we follow you all the way.

Interrupted or transferred treatment

You started hormone therapy abroad or with another provider and need continuity in Sweden. We take over your program — including license applications.

12 months of structured care. Nothing extra is charged.

Everything you need — diagnostics, prescriptions, license applications, follow-up — is included in the program. No monthly invoices, no hidden costs.

Week 1–2 · Diagnostics

Specialist assessment

We begin with a complete hormonal assessment by a specialist physician. Clinical diagnosis is based on the new Greene Climacteric Scale together with a comprehensive hormone panel.

  • Specialist consultation (60 min) with a gynecologist or endocrinologist
  • 12-marker hormone panel: estradiol, FSH, LH, progesterone, free testosterone, SHBG, AMH, cortisol, TSH, T3, T4, anti-TPO
  • Cardiovascular baseline: ApoB, lipids, hsCRP
  • Risk and contraindication review (family history, VTE, breast cancer)
  • Personalised treatment plan

Week 3–4 · Treatment start

Prescription & license application

Prescriptions according to Socialstyrelsen 2026 and the recommendations of the Swedish Medical Products Agency (Läkemedelsverket). If your medication is out of stock, we handle the license application via Läkemedelsverket — we do the work, not you.

  • Prescription according to national guidelines
  • Active license application when needed (included — no extra cost)
  • Mirena insertion when needed (separate add-on)
  • Secure communication platform activated
  • Symptom tracker available 24/7
03
Month 4, 8, 12 · Active follow-up

Three follow-ups — not a two-minute phone call

Hormonal health is individual and changes over time. Three structured follow-ups with your specialist ensure that the dose and treatment follow your body — not a template.

  • 3 specialist consultations (month 4, 8, 12)
  • Symptom review + side-effect management
  • Dose adjustment based on clinical response
  • Blood pressure check, weight trends
  • Repeat hormone panel if clinically indicated
  • Secure messaging between visits

Month 12 · Long-term plan

Summary & next steps

At the end of the program we evaluate the next step together. You own your medical record and care summary — with or without continued treatment.

  • Concluding evaluation
  • Written care summary for your medical record
  • Continuation if desired: Hormonmembership or another provider

When the pharmacy says no, we say yes.

Estrogen patches (Estradot, Climara, Sandoz) are out of stock in Sweden through late autumn 2026. Many providers refuse to handle license applications. We handle them — included in the program, no extra cost.

Our specialist writes the clinical justification

Läkemedelsverket’s license process requires clinical justification from a specialist physician. We prepare the documentation, file via the pharmacy, and follow up until the prescription is in your hand. The process normally takes 5–10 working days.

A license application is an individual review by Läkemedelsverket. Approval cannot be guaranteed — but we maximise your chances.

Hormone therapy is specialist medicine.

The program is led by specialist physicians with Swedish medical licenses, registered with Socialstyrelsen. No handling by general practitioners.

Common questions.

The program is led by specialist physicians with Swedish medical licenses, registered with Socialstyrelsen. Depending on indication, you are assigned a gynecologist or endocrinologist as your primary specialist — or both in complex cases.
An initial consultation can usually be booked within 7 working days. Urgent cases (interrupted treatment, side effects) are prioritised.
We handle the license application via Läkemedelsverket. Included in the program at no extra cost. The process normally takes 5–10 working days; we follow up until the prescription is in your hand.
Estradiol, estrone, FSH, LH, progesterone, free and total testosterone, SHBG, DHEA-S, AMH, prolactin, cortisol, thyroid function (TSH, T3, T4, anti-TPO). Plus cardiovascular baseline (ApoB, lipids, hsCRP).
Safety is assessed individually against absolute and relative contraindications (previous breast cancer, active VTE, unexplained vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, etc.). A risk-benefit assessment is done at the initial consultation according to SFOG and Läkemedelsverket recommendations.
At the end of the program we evaluate the next step together: ending treatment, transitioning to Hormonmembership for continued follow-up, or handover to another provider. You own your medical record and can take it with you.
We are Cigna Global’s exclusive direct-billing partner in Sweden and have agreements with Allianz, AXA and Bupa. We handle all communication with your insurer; you pay nothing out of pocket for approved treatments.
The initial assessment requires a physical visit to Kungstensgatan 2. Follow-up consultations can be conducted via secure video link if clinically appropriate. Lab draws can be done at a local partner site anywhere in Sweden.
Only your treating team. We follow the Swedish Patient Data Act (PDL) and GDPR. You have the right to request your record or transfer it to another provider at any time.
Mirena insertion is billed separately per price list (approximately SEK 3,500 including the device). We show the price and obtain your consent before any procedure.
Yes. If you cancel within 14 days of your first visit, the full fee is refunded. After 14 days, the remaining portion is refunded proportionally, less care already delivered.
Yes. The program follows Socialstyrelsen’s national guidelines for menopausal symptoms (2026), Läkemedelsverket’s treatment recommendation for MHT, and SFOG’s knowledge base. We provide primary-source references on request.
