Welcome to The Health Clinic Stockholm. These Terms & Policies govern your use of our website, digital services, and medical care. By booking an appointment, using our platform, or visiting our clinic, you accept these terms.
By using healthclinic.se or our services, you accept these Terms. Unauthorised access, malware, interference, or misuse of the platform is prohibited. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or service at any time.
Information on our website is general and educational. It does not constitute individual medical advice. For any concern about your health, consult a licensed clinician for a personal assessment.
All content — text, images, logos, and materials — is the property of The Health Clinic Stockholm AB or its licensors. Nothing on this website may be reproduced, modified, or redistributed without prior written consent.
We may link to external websites for your convenience. We are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices.
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute arising from them shall be resolved by Swedish courts.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, data loss, or costs arising from third-party errors, service interruptions, or the services of external laboratories and imaging providers. Nothing in this clause limits liability for gross negligence, statutory patient injury, or other liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish law.
Video and online consultations are performed by licensed clinicians under Swedish law. You must provide accurate medical information and join from a private, safe environment. If your condition requires a physical examination, we may refer you or reschedule to an in-person visit. Digital care does not replace emergency care — always call 112 in an emergency.
Payment is due on-site or via secure payment link. Installment options may be available through Klarna or Medical Finance. For eligible patients referred by The Health Clinic Stockholm, Medical Finance may offer interest-free installments of up to 24 months, subject to their independent credit assessment and approval. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is due immediately after each visit.
Patients covered by authorised international health insurers (for example under direct-billing agreements) pay SEK 2,500 on-site at each visit. Any remaining balance is billed directly to the insurer only where a valid written direct-billing agreement is in place. If the insurer has not paid within 20 working days, an invoice is sent to the patient and becomes due within 48 hours. The patient remains ultimately responsible for payment unless liability has been transferred in writing by the insurer.
SEK 2,500 is always paid on-site. Any remaining balance may be invoiced to an embassy or consulate only where a written agreement is in place. If payment is not received within 20 working days, the individual becomes personally liable for the full amount.
Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full. Exceptions are made only for acute illness supported by a valid medical certificate.
Any discount applies only to services performed at our clinic, not to external laboratories, radiology, or third-party providers.
Invoices are due within 10 days. Late payment may incur statutory default interest under the Interest Act (1975:635) §6, reminder and collection fees under the Debt Collection Act (1974:182), and may result in credit reporting in accordance with the Credit Information Act (1973:1173).
Healthcare services are subject to the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). If you have booked a service online or by telephone and the service has not yet started, you have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement without giving any reason. Once a healthcare service has been carried out with your explicit consent, the right of withdrawal no longer applies, in accordance with Chapter 2 §11 of that Act.
A standard withdrawal form is available on request from info@healthclinic.se and on our website. Prepaid services are refunded only if we cancel or cannot deliver the service within a reasonable time.
If you have a concern about the care you have received, please contact us first. We take every complaint seriously and are legally required to respond.
Note on Patientnämnden. Patientnämnden in Region Stockholm handles publicly funded care and private providers with a regional agreement. Because The Health Clinic Stockholm is a fully private provider without such an agreement, Patientnämnden is not available as a complaint channel for our patients. Your route is clinic → IVO.
We hold statutory patient injury insurance under the Patient Injury Act (1996:799).
If you believe you have suffered a patient injury in connection with care at our clinic, please notify us so we can assist you with the claim process. You may also contact Folksam directly.
As a patient, you have the right to access your medical records, to have factual errors annotated or corrected under the statutory procedure, to receive information to make informed decisions about your care, to give or withhold consent to treatment, and to request a second medical opinion.
We operate a documented quality and patient-safety management system in accordance with SOSFS 2011:9 and the Patient Safety Act (2010:659). Events that have caused, or could have caused, serious patient injury are investigated internally and reported to IVO under Lex Maria. We publish an annual Patient Safety Report (Patientsäkerhetsberättelse) by 1 March each year, which is available on our website.
The Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) does not examine disputes concerning healthcare services. For non-medical services that are not classified as healthcare, you may contact ARN at arn.se. EU residents may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

In accordance with Chapter 3 §10 of the Patient Safety Act, we publish an annual Patient Safety Report by 1 March each year.
