1) Terms of Use

1.1 General Use

By using healthclinic.se or our services, you accept these Terms. Misuse (unauthorized access, malware, disruption) is prohibited. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the site/services at any time.

1.2 No Medical Advice

Website content is general information, not medical advice. Always consult a licensed clinician for individual assessment.

1.3 Intellectual Property

All materials are the property of The Health Clinic Stockholm AB or licensors and may not be reproduced/modified/distributed without prior written consent.

1.4 Third-Party Links

We are not responsible for content, security, or privacy practices of external sites linked here.

1.5 Governing Law & Disputes

Swedish law applies. Disputes are resolved by Swedish courts.

1.6 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect/consequential damages, data loss, or costs arising from third-party errors, service interruptions, or external labs/imaging. Nothing limits liability for gross negligence or statutory patient injury.

1.7 Digital Consultations (Telemedicine)

Video/online consultations are performed by licensed clinicians under Swedish law. Patients must provide accurate information and a private, safe environment. If a physical exam is required, we may refer or reschedule. Digital care does not replace emergency care—call 112 in emergencies.

2) Payment, Cancellation, No-Show & Financing

2.1 Payment Terms

Payment is on-site or via secure link. Installments may be offered via Klarna or via Medical Finance. Eligible patients referred by The Health Clinic Stockholm (including Health Connect Stockholm) may access interest-free installments up to 24 months through Medical Finance, subject to Medical Finance’s independent credit assessment and approval. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is due immediately after each visit.

2.2 Insurance Patients (Cigna, Allianz, etc.)

Pay SEK 2,500 on site. Additional balances may be billed to the insurer under a written agreement. If payment is not received within 20 working days, an invoice will be sent to the patient (due within 48 hours). The patient is ultimately responsible unless liability is explicitly transferred by a direct-billing agreement.

2.3 Embassy & Consular Patients

SEK 2,500 is always paid on site. Remaining balances may be invoiced only with a written embassy/consulate agreement. If payment is delayed beyond 20 working days, the individual becomes personally liable for the full amount.

2.4 Cancellations & No-Shows

Cancel ≥ 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations/no-shows are charged in full. Exceptions only for acute illness with a valid medical certificate.

2.5 Discounts

Discounts apply only to services performed at our clinic (not external labs/imaging).

2.6 Late Payment

Invoices due within 10 days. Late payment may incur default interest (Interest Act 1975:635 §6), reminder/collection fees (Debt Collection Act 1974:182), and possible credit reporting (Credit Information Act 1973:1173).

2.7 Refunds & Right of Withdrawal

Under the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59), withdrawal rights do not apply to healthcare services once delivery has begun or been completed with the patient’s consent. Prepaid services are refunded only if the clinic cancels or cannot provide the service within a reasonable time.

2.8 Financing (Klarna & Medical Finance)

  • Availability & Eligibility: Financing (including interest-free up to 24 months) may be available via Medical Finance for eligible patients referred by us, or via Klarna for certain transactions. Availability is subject to each provider’s independent credit assessment and approval.
  • Separate Contract: Financing is a separate agreement between the patient and Medical Finance or Klarna. We are not a lender and do not charge interest/fees.
  • Fees/Non-Payment: Any fees or consequences of late/non-payment are governed solely by the finance provider’s terms.
  • Late Cancel/No-Show: Our charges still apply (see 2.4).
  • Start of Service: Once a financed medical service starts, the right of withdrawal does not apply (2.7).
  • Support: Contact the applicable finance provider for invoice/schedule questions.

3) Complaints, Patient Rights & IVO

3.1 Complaint Steps

  1. Email info@healthclinic.se — we investigate and respond.
  2. If unresolved, contact your regional Patientnämnden (Patient Advisory Committee).
  3. For serious matters (injury/malpractice), report to IVO (normally within two years).

3.2 Patient Injury Insurance

Mandatory patient injury insurance under the Patient Injury Act (1996:799).

3.3 Patient Rights
