FAQ

Your Questions. Our Clear Answers.
How long does an MRI appointment usually take?
Most MRI scans take around one hour to complete. The duration can vary slightly depending on which area is being examined and whether contrast dye is needed.

Before your MRI, please let your healthcare provider know if you have any of the following:
• A pacemaker, defibrillator, or cochlear implant
• Metal implants, such as aneurysm clips, joint replacements, or bullet fragments

IUDs or tattoos
Remove all metal items before your appointment — including jewelry, piercings, watches, hairpins, glasses, dentures, and hearing aids.
Most MRI scans don’t require fasting, so you can usually eat and take your regular medications as normal.
For abdominal or contrast MRIs, you may be asked to avoid eating or drinking for 4–6 hours before the scan.

After booking your MRI with us, you’ll first have a complimentary consultation with one of our doctors. Once your scan is completed, our doctor will review your results with you — either by phone or in person at the clinic, depending on what’s most convenient for you.
